Had a wonderful meeting on October 21st, Monday at the Daniele Boone branch St. Louis County Library in Ellisville. Bob Scheppele shared his wisdom after building dozens (hundreds?) of foam airplanes. Great for newbies (QuickSTART guys) and old-timers alike. Everyone learned a lot, such as:
- Bob's use of cheap speed squares during the build to align fuselage and wings.
- Bob's two-box building table to provide ease of building the profile fuselage.
- Hinge techniques
- Types of foams, adhesives and paint - what's compatible
- Servos & receivers
- Target weights
- Power systems
- All sorts of tips and tricks.
Thanks, Bob!
