CLUB MEETING - 7:30pm Thursday May 19th at SLRCFA Field

DEMONSTRATING HOW TO BUILD A $2 FOAM WING

We're trying to build an "SLRCFA Combat Wing" design that anyone could build for under $50 (not including batteries or transmitter). We hope to demo this at the club meeting... still working on it. The actual airframe would be about $2 worth of foam board (to be honest, the wing will probably cost closer to $3 when you get done with a little hot glue and lite-ply for motor mount).

Whether we can pull this off still remains to be seen, but we will have a foam wing building demonstration at the club meeting this Thursday, so don't miss.

BIG BIRD FLY-IN

We'll discuss the June 11-12 Model Aviation Airshow (aka "Big Bird Fly-In") at the meeting and make final plans. We need volunteers and all hands on deck for this fantastic event. We are expecting a great event, weather permitting.

MISSION, VALUES

The board adopted the official Mission and Values for the club. We're interested in your feedback!

FLYING

Looks like excellent weather to fly that night, too! Bring your night flyer and help us light up the sky after it gets dark.

FOOD AND FUN

We'll have hot dogs, chips and soda, so stay and eat. Taking donations to offset food costs, too. Plus, we'll do a 50/50 raffle at the end of the wing demo.
